The International Labour Day is celebrated on May 1st in every year in many countries. Why not in the USA πΊπΈ if this day is honoring events occurred in that country?
Why is the US not celebrating Labour day on May 1st if Haymarket Myrtle occurred in the USA πΊπΈ? Because of its connection to socialist and communist movements. Consequently, Labor Day in September became a more neutral holiday honoring workers.
Labor Day, which meant 8 hours labour, 8 hours rest, and 8 hours recreation.
